Post Matric Minorities Scholarships 2024: The Post Matric Scholarship Scheme by National Scholarship Portal for Minorities is a central government initiative designed to uplift economically weaker sections of minority communities in India by providing financial assistance for higher education.

This scholarship scheme aims to provide a fair chance for students from minority communities to attain higher education, thereby promoting socio-economic growth and equal opportunities within these communities.

Eligibility Criteria

Scholarship Awards

Technical/vocational courses (Class 11 & 12): ₹10,000/year (Hosteller & Day Scholar)
UG & PG courses: ₹3,000/year (Hosteller & Day Scholar)
Maintenance AllowanceClass 11 & 12 (including technical/vocational courses): ₹380/month (Hosteller), ₹230/month (Day Scholar)
UG & PG (non-technical/professional courses): ₹570/month (Hosteller), ₹300/month (Day Scholar)
M.Phil & Ph.D.: ₹1,200/month (Hosteller), ₹550/month (Day Scholar)
Allowance DurationMaximum of 10 months in an academic year

Document Requirements:

Scan and upload the following documents in the prescribed format in online application form:

  1. Passport-sized photograph
  2. Signature
  3. Caste/Community Certificate
  4. Income Certificate
  5. Marksheets of previous examinations
  6. Fee receipts
  7. Aadhaar card  
  8. Bank account details.

Application Process

The application process for the Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities is entirely online. Here are the steps involved:
